Veneers, Crowns, Bridges

Porcelain Veneers
A porcelain veneer is a conservative approach to improve the esthetics of teeth or add a protective layer to the surface. The teeth to be covered with veneers are minimally prepared to create the space required for porcelain. Impressions are then taken, and a dental lab fabricates porcelain laminate veneers which are cemented to the teeth.

Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are restorations that entirely cover teeth. The purpose of a crown is to protect the remaining tooth structure while providing normal function and an esthetic appearance. A few examples of when crowns may be necessary are cracked or fractured teeth, teeth with very large restorations, teeth that have worn down, and teeth following root canal procedures. Crowns can also solely be done to improve esthetics.

Bridges, or fixed partial dentures, are crowns that are splinted together and span over a space where a tooth or teeth are missing. A bridge is permanently cemented to teeth on either side of the edentulous space where teeth are being replaced.
